Ruby is my favorite language. Mostly because of its syntax, which is concise and pleasant to read. Its creator, Matz, designed it to be that way. And to me this has given Ruby the edge to stay relevant all these years even if other languages are more performant or more popular than Ruby.

Thanks to the Ruby community I’ve learned a lot about TDD, configuration management, programming paradigms, patterns and much more. It’s a community that is constantly pushing their limits and one that is very creative.
