I got my first developer job at Telefónica. I was hired to work with the Data Warehouse team. There we would compile information from all the calls in Guatemala and El Salvador and make it easy to access by the marketing department and upper level management.
Technically I was mostly writing PL/SQL scripts and generating reports. It inspired me to write a silly jQuery application to do pivot tables, which called the attention from one of the jQuery teams and for that I feel proud about.
My colleagues were always helping me and tought me what it was like to work in a fun environment. And I learned a great deal about professionalism thanks to Juan Carlos Hernandez and Elder Sandoval, two great managers I had while working there.
